Thank goodness that "Never" sign has gone ... lol.... well, feel free to post .... experiences about who you have used before ... who you use now ... whatever ..... I am hoping to scour the net and get some names of ecommerce bodies and just post a list and then maybe we get some comments on some of them ......

i am using this RomanCart thing

They are a totally external thing thoug;
You just use their scripts in your site "add to basket" etc buttons; and jobs done. I am quite happy but not an expert on e-commrce yet. Just thought first thing to do was to find a right cart thats all.

It takes a little more than cart software. Paypal System is wack. Front end , back end then you have to do the database. SSL and then hours coding and adding product, Pics, Internet sales are also hard to get .

Hi there and welcome,
I have looked into Roman cart before and it looks quite good, the free version is limited for some people especially as you cant do any back ups, and then the cost of the cart if you want other features is per year not a one off purchase. So ideal for some but not for others - so yes, finding the right cart is half the battle, there are so many out there, some are more customizable than others and some have a much clearer admin panel - cost is a factor and some are remotely hosted others not ....depends on what type of payments you want to receive and all sorts of things. But if Roman Cart suits your needs then it is a very good cart by all accounts.
