How Do I Make My Home Page my root web?

My personal web server icon (that frontpage 98 has programmed to run in the desktop tray)only recognizes the rootweb created as a template by FP98. It says in the book I've got (frontpage 98 unleashed), that you must change the rootweb to your homepage before publishing, but doesn't say how. I would like to change it anyway, and get rid of the rootweb to reduce confusion on my part. Can anyone help?
Thanks and cheers. MRH
