How do I get an MP3 file added as background music to a web site? I try right clicking , then prop., but the files will not showup to add. I believe they need to be changed but how do I do that?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
You might look through this thread (http://www.talkfrontpage.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=814) and see if that is what you want. If not, just let us know.

Hi
The two most popular sound files for page background music are .wav and .midi files. MP3 files are not as suitable for background music, and as such need to be streamed using a player - this is why you cannot insert it using front page, the file format is not suitable for that option. That link showed the code to use to embed the windows media player into the page so an MP3 could be streamed and played, although you do not have to have the player full size, it can end up being fairly small. It is quite handy to have an on and off button on the page as well, quite a few people do not like background music as they will be listening to a CD or something, and would like the option to turn the background web music off.
You can download converters, that will change your mp3 into a wav or midi (forget which now), then inserting it will be easy, make sure the file size is kept low though or the page will take a long time to load.
