How does one make FP the default editor for IE 6.0 under Windows XP? I've gone into the Tools>Options>Programs menu and selected FP as the editor, but the Edit icon on IE does not become active. I originally had Windows ME on my PC and then installed the XP upgrade. Any clues?
Looking at mine... It's gray till I put the mouse over it...
I never open a page for edit with IE... I always use FrontPage itself.

Click on "file"in the top menus on IE and see if Edit with Microsoft Frontpage is listed. I have XP and use EI 6.0 and didn't have any problem setting FP to be my editor. I set it up the same way you did. Try setting it up again and reboot and see what happens.
Oh yea, the "edit with" will not be active until the whole page you are going trying to edit is finished downloading.
