i wanted to put a text header on an email/newsletter.

i am using marquee, its ok.. but is there anything else i could use to add a little flash to the text? im thinking something like the 'effects' you can do with powerpoint.....

any simple ways to tweak the text to aminate it a little?

I use FP 2003

I don't use Powerpoint, so what sort of effects can you get with that?

it adds effects like fly over, or shutter or checkerboard to the header text. it sorta just displays/flashes/animates the text it a little better than the marquee scroll

okay .... check out these google links (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-42,GGLD:en&q=text+effects), see if you can find anything there.

Well, definitely avoid the FP Marquee or any Java Applets for that matter.

You can find Javascript scrollers at any Java script source site...

... to get you started. Not flash, but some of them are a little jazzy. Don't use these types of functions too much as many find them totally annoying.
