You can use the Save as a webpage on Powerpoint itself, BUT it uses code like it does for text boxes and that stuff, so I am not sure what other browsers can view it. I did a quick test here of a pps someone emailed me
http://www.monktoncombe.com/test/goodkarma_files/frame.htm
I dont have Firefox at the moment until I change puters, so could not test to see if it worked. But if it does, then a little tip .... save the conversion to a folder on your desktop. Open the folder there will be a folder and file ... import both into LIVE site, not into local site.
Otherwise I dont know of any otherway you can include the pps without it having to download i.e. link to it, or the persons viewer come up to show it. There are producst that will convert to .pdf, but all depends whether you have animations i your slide show or not.
Sorry not that helpful.

imo, save as web page seems to work OK, it will save as a small .htm file and a sub folder. you can upload them both to your site and link to the .htm file..
ive found sounds dont do too well, they get out of synch a little - due to trasfer speed from host to pc -id guess-
if you want a background song to play, you have to edit the frames file, but it is do-able
