ok... so - i'm new to Frontpage and i managed fine untill last week.
when i updated my site all of the links from the home page (index) were linkning to a wrong adress - it was like it forgat to change the corse to a site - the adresses are to the home computer adresses (c://documentandsettings - and so on)
when i tryed to change it through the page properties it didnt let me and so i'm stuck...
i contacted my host for help but he manualy changed every single adress seperatly - which is a drag and not a very permenent solution...
so if anyone know's what i'm talking about - i'll be happy to learn how to solve this,
you are welcome to watch the problem - my site is www.ilreining.com
and if you go to "about us" you can see what i mean...
(sorry for spelling problems...)

Hi and welcome,

It could be for a variety of reasons. Are you using FTP to upload your site? If you have the FrontPage Extensions on the server then you need to use HTTP to publish (as in our tutorial section)

Did you open the whole website up in FrontPage first, then from within FrontPage open your pages up ......

When you made a link did you browse from inside FrontPage to your My Documents/My webs folder (if that is where you keep the files) or did you link to an existing document in FrontPage .....

at first i uploaded each file seperatly through the file manager of the host.
then - after the"insident" i tryed uploading them through the FTP of frontpage (my host enable frontpage FTP)
i think it must of happend somewhere before the last update (manually - not the FTP)- couse before that everything was fine.
when im trying to change the adresses it sais i dont have a permit... :(
other then that i have no clue what to do... and now i'm afraid to update again...
help...

If your host has enabled the FrontPage Extensions then they have probably become corrupted through you uploading via FTP.

Check out our tutorial section on how to publish.

Get your host to reinstall the extensions - ask them also to delete all the files off the server for you ....

Then republish using File/publish web .. http://www.yourwebnamehere.com
