Hey,
I'm wanting to put a animated gif picture onto my website... Thing is.. Once i put it on.. The animated picture... isn't well.. animating!!
Is there suppose to be some kind of tool i'm meant to use.. Because what i do is just go to "Insert" "Picture" "From File" and select my animated picture.. Its moving on my computer.. But not on the net...
Suggestions?

Can you send us the url please?
Maybe for some strange reason it is changing format into a jpg or ?? instead of staying as a .gif
What you can try is delete it from your folders in FrontPage. Then Import the original into FP rather than insert. Once you have imported it, then insert it onto a page and save the page.

Okay try this ...
in IE ... Tools/ Advanced ... scroll down to "Multimedia" and there is a box that says "play animations" ... make sure that is checked. Now this is with IE7 not sure if same terminology with your browser but check and see .... whether there is similar setting in Firefox I dont know .....
oh wait, is that the only animation that doesnt work, I mean do the animated smilies on this forum work ... if so I dont know why you cant see your animation ....

lol.. actually.. i can't see *any* animated gifs... unless there saved to my computer.. unless the "original" is saved to my computer... If i save animated images from the web.. they stay frozen..even on my computer...
There is just probably some hidden setting that should be on...

As mentioned before, check your firewall settings. I have zonealarm pro and I found a setting to stop animations and it works ..... it stops them!! So I bet it is something like that.

Yes! All Animations work!! You were right! There was some setting in my firewall that prevented all animated pictures from moving! I see alot of movement now!!
Thanks a bunch!
