Where's Wally?

hey Me again..lol

I'm trying to make a .. online page search game thingy..

I don't know what its called.. so i'll just describe it... Its like Where's Wally.. the classic Picture with lots of other things in the picture.. where you have to find one thing.. But in this case.. I want to make an online version

.. So i'm trying to have a picture .. with a hidden link in the picture.. so when the mouse goes over it.. the pointer thingy comes up...

Anyone know what would be the best way to do this.. And how to do it..?

I just love those Where's Wally Books, my son got me hooked on them years ago!!

What immediately springs to mind is one huuuuuge picture (have to watch the file size though, gif perhaps would compress and view best if plain colors used as in Where's Wally) ... then hotspot (image link) on the spot you want the link ..
