Hi
Please can anybody help me!
I am a novice at creating web pages - the trouble I am having at the moment is that publish web is not highlighted in my drop down menu for some reason.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is?

Hello,
Did you start off by creating a Web when you started your website, or only a page. You need to have the whole website open up in FrontPage. Not sure if that is what the problem is or not.

I am not sure. We had another forum member post the exact same question the other week, but I do not know if it was resolved. This is the post, maybe you want to post at the bottom to ask if they solved it?

email from my ftp provider.
We checked your account and found few files to be uploaded there, can you please let us know which ftp client you are using to upload your files and error you are getting so that we can assist you better.
Re above reply - I think this the problem as to why I could not carry out further publishing.
I applied the above and it seemed to sort the problem.

I dont understand when you say you "applied the above" ...what did you apply to get the publish option to be available.

I myself cannot understand as to why its working now. All I can ascertain is that last time I published a site that I cancelled during the FTP process, some files where in limbo - a bit like me this morning LOL.
After telling them to clear these files it worked OK.

Oh gotcha. So sounds like when you cancelled in mid upload FP threw a wobbly ... lol!! so basically all your files were cleared off server and you started again. Okay I will try to remember that, so can suggest it to anyone else.
some files where in limbo - a bit like me this morning LOL. Ha!! bit like me all year!!
