designing 2 websites

ok, on fp2000
i have my old site using shared borders, now i want to redesign my site changing the shared borders.

now whilst designing my new site, i changed the borders to be only top and bottom, but when i open my old site, it has removed the side border too.

how can i work on 2 completly different sites that are unrelated without having to change the setting for each one?

That is just it .. they are TWO unrelated sites, therefore the two webs must not be connected.

ON hard drive ... file/new web ... start a totally new website for your second site .... when you publish, you can publish to a sub web of main site, but NOT to a folder of main site ......
