hi

i have a home page(parent or whatever) then the rest are child pages on the same level.

I have shared borders on them all. i am trying to add a link bar to them all to show all the available pages. I am checking the Selected Page only option so dont understand why it applies it to all. I have a theme applied as well.

When i select my link bar on the index.htm page, it shows all the links to the children sites BUT on those sites it just shows HOME. i want it to show all the other sites not just home. how do i do this? every time i apply the correct link bar to a page and save it, then open another page, it has reverted back to [edit the properties of this link bar to display hyperlinks here].

HELP!

If you are using FP 2002, I seem to remember seeing (once upon a time) the option for SAME LEVEL as well as an option to add HOME page and PARENT pages.

Does that help at all??

hiya

i had a look again but when i selcted same level, it only applies it to those pages on the same level, so there is nothing on the parent page. when i add child level to that page, it changes all the others to child status so they just display [home]. i thought i could choose each page separetly somehow?!

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge you can not select, its either all or nothing.

That system is really only ideal for when you have a HOME page and then 4 or 5 Main Topic Pages below that home Page and then about 4 to 5 Content Pages under these Topics....that way you can go back UP to the Topics from the Content or surf throught the Content Pages....

Clear as mud?

This is occuring because you are using a shared border. If you are using FP2002 on a server with FP2002 extensions, you can create a special links bar specifying exactly which pages will be included in the links bar.

However, you can only do this on a server with FP2002 extensions. --Barb
