Hit Counters

OK, I am still working on this homepage. I want to insert a hit counter. I know how to insert a hit counter from the frontpage styles, but I want to insert my own. I have a background "set" that I have downloaded from the internet and it is in a zip file. The counter part is in 10 pieces. How on earth am I supposed to get this thing to work and inserted in the first place. Thanks, I know it is almost impossible to help without being able to see what I am talking about. I hope you can help.

Sorry I seemed to have missed this post ysterday. You have a hit counter in 10 pieces - that sounds like a large hit counter!! Usually when graphics come in several pieces it requires ....... TABLES ....... to piece them together *sigh* - see I told you, tables keep everything in place! Well, I suppose you could glue all the pieces together first ....... make sure glue is well dried though, or might make a mess of page. :p:

HA HA! Your funny. OK, I was reading about tables last night. They dont seem THAT difficult. So how do I go about doing it? 10 pieces is large, but I dont have to use all ten pieces do I? I was only going to use 4 of them. Thanks.;):

Only use 4 pieces ... mmmm ... I can't seem to picture ths hit counter of yours, I imagined it was some picture chopped up into 10 pieces, using only 4 would not then make up the picture - cant really answer that Kandi as I dont know what all the pieces are, but as long as you are happy with the look of it, then thats fine. Have to say here though, I have never used a hit counter - I cheat, I signed up for sitemeter hit counter, totally free and they send yuo weekly stats and yu can see who has visited where they come from and all sorts of stuff - So if you actually get problems with your hit counter - post away with the questins, but I may not know the answers - so we will be learning together. I like this little smiley as well, it looks a bit like me first thing in the morning :crazy:

Of course your hit counter is made up of numbers - duh! silly me. Mind went do lally, I pictured a hit counter sitting on a graphic! Not with it today.:rolleyes:

Sitemeter huh? I may have to sign up with them. And spare myself the agony of putting this darn thing together. THis is how the hit ocunter looks. I got it from one of those free places that put together background sets and you then have to use them as linkware. Take for instance on the Frog background set, she has all kinds of little icons and then made tiny ones and put numbers on them indicating a hit counter. I guess we are supposed to know how to put it together and get it to work as such. The sitemeter is sounding real good at this time. Kinda pressed for time here today, it is only just begun.

You will be happy to know that it is close to freezing here, probably in the thirties. High of only 40 today. Talk to ya later.

I can now picture the hit counter, I will gather what information I have on the FP counter and using your own graphics, got so much stuff here, in no sensible order whatsoever, know its amongst there somewhere .... Catch u Later Kandi - love to family.
