Well it was bound to happen.

Hiermenus known for their fancy drop down menuse just sent an email around with pricing and licensing information. Hiermenues gets their name from Hierarchy meaning they kind of fold out.

They are very well built but this is the first I've seen of them to really push the licensing and copyright thing.

More info at their website:
http://www.webreference.com/dhtml/hiermenus/

I wonder what it means for all of those unlicensed websites??

As an alternative to Hiermenus you can go here:
http://www.brothercake.com/

I don't believe there are any nasty copyright issues..... unless you try and steal their stuff..... and no cost.

lol! I was just looking at that this weekend. I was trying to find a good menu that I liked, and I remembered messing with that one a while back, but I just found a message about pricing. It seems like most of those menus come at a cost now. Things change, I guess...

It's all fine and dandy till you get to the object thing and have to make it work for the different browsers...... That's when it get's tough.....

There are guys out there who can write javascript games with fighter planes and race cars. I just want to validate forms well, and do drop dows, etc....

Wait till you see some of that crazy map code I've been playing with.
