This is my training survey form. When I hit the form submit button I am taken to a page that says: Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "http://contactivity.net/act!_client_training_survey.htm"

This happens instead of being sent to the confirmation page: http://www.contactivity.net/Thank_you_for_your_submittal.htm

What is broken here???

This kind of thing usually happens when you use FTP to upload pages to the website...

If you FTPeed the page with the form to the website...

You need to use the Publish feature from with-in FrontPage.
Forms recquire hidden folders and pages that FTP will not beable to produce that refference the form.

If you did use the Publish feature with-in FrontPage...

First thing would be to look for any anomolies...

I did notice that you are using a reserved character in the files name
act!_client_training_survey.htm

Rename the file dropping the exclamation mark...

If that don't do the trick...

Try to open your site live from the hosting server and recalculate the site...

Thanks Bud,

I renamed the prob page excluding the [!]. I am Publishing now.. on dial-up today so it's taking it's time.

If the prob persists, is it a complicated process to open my site live from the hosting server and recalculate the site?

To open your site live...

Method one...

Browse to your website using Internet Explorer...
Click the Edit button... Note that the edit botton sould have the FrontPage Icon... If not, set the default Editing program to FrontPage in Internet Options...

Method two...

Open FrontPage, from the File menu select Open Web...
In the Web name: field enter the complete URL of your web site...

(A complete URL includes the use of http://)

Once you have your site open... From the Tools menu
Select Recalculate Hyperlinks...

RATS!!!! I recaculated Hyperlinks & republished.. but I still have "[FrontPage Save Results Component] " showing on my page.. BUT - it doesn't show in FP Preview??

Also when you select the Submit button, instead of getting the Confirmation Page at (http://www.contactivity.net/Thank_you_for_your_submittal.htm) you are taken to: http://www.contactivity.net/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/act_client_training_survey.htm which is a white page displaying the message:
"Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "http://contactivity.net/act_client_training_survey.htm""

Something you can try...

Open your site live...
Right click the Form, and select Form properties...

From the Form properties... window...
Select Send to other and click Ok

Save the page...
Close the page (not FrontPage)
From the Tools menu select Recalculate Hyperlinks...

Click the New Page button.
From the File menu, select Save As...
Double click the _private folder
Change the Save as type: option to *.*
In the File name: field type act_client_training_survey.txt
Click Save

When that's done re-open act_client_training_survey.htm

Right click the Form and select Form properties...
Select Send to
Click the Browse button
From the Current Web window,
double click the _private folder
Select act_client_training_survey.txt and click Ok
Click the Options button from the Form Properties window
Select the Confirmation Page tab
Click the Browse button by URL of confirmation page
Select Thank_you_for_your_submittal.htm from the list
and click Ok
Now click Ok to the Form Properties....

Save the page... Close the Page (not FrontPage)

Try the page using Internet Explorer...
If it Works...
Publish your site back to your computers hard drive, or repeat the above procedure on your local drive...
